Our friends at Mondelez came in to volunteer at our Uniform Swap Shop in February. Daniela and the team joined us from the Research and Development Team at the Bournville Site and sorted, sized and folded around half a ton of donated uniforms.
This essential work helps the School Uniform Swap Shop to tackle both environmental sustainability and financial hardship. Each week, we process 60kg of donated school uniforms, which are washed, sorted, and redistributed free of charge to families across the local community.
As part of the Hub’s commitment to Life Long Learning, we are kicking off the Literacy Trust’s National Year of Reading with our Children's Book Swap on Sat 21 Feb at the Hub. Families are welcome to bring along any used books and swap, there is no obligation to swap however.
We are asking children to bring along their favourite book teddies too.
We would like to offer a warm welcome to Susie our new Hub Coordinator who joins us from the Midlands Arts Centre. Susie will be in charge of day to day running of our groups and room bookings.

Fundraising at the Hub
The annual Christmas festival and light switch on took place at the end of November and the Hub opened its doors with craft stalls raising funds for the Hub and the Grey Hound Trust.
